The Brussels Christmas market, voted the most original of its kind in
Europe by British tour operators, features two kilometres of stalls, chalets,
attractions, entertainments and terraces. Visitors can taste Gordon® Xmas®
Original and the wholly surprising Timmermans® Warme Kriek Chaude®, shop for
treats for the festive season and presents for loved ones, or buy themselves
souvenirs of this special occasion. From 25 November 2011 to 1 January 2012,
the market brings a joyful mood to Brussels. From the Grand-Place to the Marché
aux Poissons, this year’s market includes 240 chalets of all different kinds, a
sled run, a skating rink, baroque merry-go-rounds, the Big Wheel and an unforgettable
illuminated parade. A spiral-shaped light sculpture will be set up in the
centre of the Grand-Place, and its colourful rays will shine out in all
directions, including the Town Hall, the surrounding buildings and the
Christmas tree. There could even be a magical choir on Christmas Eve. Come and
share in the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the market!
